Black Cats & Old Dogs Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that was started in 2015 in Tallahassee, Fl. Our mission is to rescue the most overlooked animals in shelters, whether it be for age, color, breed, health, or behavior in shelter settings. BCOD is run completely by volunteers and we survive from donations from the public. We strive to provide the best care possible for our animals and try to fit them into the best homes possible. Because we rescue animals that are a little harder to adopt, sometimes they stay with us for quite a while, but we love them as our own, until that perfect match is made.
